Lustralboy has a soft spot for companies with social responsibility. Love Brand & Co. (http://www.lovebrand.com) is one of our favorites. The British luxury swimwear label launches a fashion-charity project to save the Asian elephant from extinction in the wild.
Founded by young London designer Oliver Tomalin, Love Brand & Co. is a new socially responsible lifestyle brand. Set up only last year, the company plans to expand through a series of ready-to-wear products, each intrinsically dedicated to a relevant charity, each product within the portfolio geared to generating an awareness of a specific naturally caused problem with donations made through the item's profits.
The founder calls his concept ‘Bisociation,’ adopting the term coined for the conceptual blending of elements drawn from two previously unrelated media. He suggests a deeper cultural shift where consumers will start to consciously and sub-consciously associate products to newly associated ideas for charitable giving.
The debut collection, "Trunks for Trunks", is state-of-the-art men's and boy's swimming trunks for the fashion conscious swimmer. The new swimwear is thoughtful in design with charming prints, careful in construction and boasting that "loving" charitable aspect.. Love Brand & Co. works with Elephant Family, the charity founded by Mark Shand, brother of the Duchess of Cornwall, to save the Asian elephant from extinction. We wish good fortune to this original mix of elephant conservation with luxury swimwear.
