The letter in which Carter Gustafson, age 8 and ¾, makes the plea for gay marriage, in this case because he has two mothers.
The full letter reads:
I’m writing this letter because I have two moms and I want to talk about the gay marriage vote. I’ve been asking my moms a lot of questions about the vote. Here are some of them:
1. Why does it matter if it’s a woman and a woman or a man and a woman? What’s the difference?
2. If this passes, can we still be a family?
3. Since this is illegal can my moms get arrested? This means a lot to me because I love my moms!
4. Who makes these laws because they don’t make sense to me. For example, isn’t it love that makes a family?
I hope one day my moms can get married. Please help by voting no!

Lustralboy notes that Minnesota will go to the polls in November to decide whether or not to ban gay marriage.
Australian rugby player, David Pocock, speaking out on marriage equality in response to the views of Minister of Parliament John Alexander.
"The biggest thing in this debate is that we're dealing with people here. And how can you blame someone for what they are? People don't choose their sexuality and we marginalize the LGBTI community for what they are.
I think that this is a conversation that needs to be had and that needs to be discussed compassionately and actually come to something that's reasonable. And in my mind, that's marriage for everyone. We've moved forward on so many issues and this is the next progression."
And finally, courtesy of the Australian GetUp campaign, here's an affecting video already viewed over 6.5 million times. It's yet another eloquent plea.
